BrewDog has collaborated with acclaimed Manchester brewery Cloudwater on a new beer.

The two companies created BrewDog vs Cloudwater, a 6.8% ABV Vermont IPA made with mosaic hops, at BrewDog’s Ellon brewery in January.

Cloudwater managing director Paul Jones said: “With their juicy, fruity aroma, low bitterness, bold flavours and sumptuous mouth feel, [Vermont IPAs] are incredible gateway beers for anyone just getting into modern beer.”

Deeply satisfying

He added: “They are also deeply satisfying to committed beer enthusiasts that know their Summit [hops] from their onions. It’s a treat to be able to make juicy IPAs and present them to near enough everyone.”

BrewDog vs Cloudwater will be available on draught across the company’s portfolio of bars and in 660ml bottles.

'Crazy' new direction

BrewDog recently appointed Gareth Bath as managing director, who told The Morning Advertiser (MA) the company had “crazily exciting” projects in the pipeline for 2017.

The brewery’s founder James Watt told MA’s sister publication MCA that Bath had an “insane” influence on the company’s growth over the past two years and his promotion would help grow the business on a global scale.
