MiXR also estimated the 14 December will be the busiest day of the year for pubs across the country.
Last year, data from MiXR found the 16 December was the busiest day for pubs over Christmas, with 676k pints sold via the app in one day.
In addition, a total of 2.08m drinks were sold in 2023 through MiXR.
Varied order predictions
Other likely spikes pre-Christmas have been predicted to be centred around the end of term for university students as well as the upcoming fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk, which will be shown on TNT Sports only on Saturday 21 December.
The data also revealed MiXR sold 3,095,642 shots and bombs across its venues throughout December last year, which it described as a “promising record” to stand firms in good stead for this year.
Meanwhile, insight from Zonal earlier this year showed Christmas bookings in pubs had already seen a 54% year-on-year increase by July.
The data from Zonal also predicted Saturday 14 December would be the busiest day of the year for pubs.
“Transformed” engagement
To help boost footfall to venues signed up to the app, MiXR has created “easy and accessible” ways for customers to plan ahead of Christmas outings, including Christmas missions and an in-app Calendar game.
This comes as Stonegate’s MiXR app hit 1m downloads in September.
Speaking on the success of the app, Stonegate CEO David Mcdowall said: “...Reaching 1m downloads and 500 venues with screen media coverage at such pace is a testament to the platform’s success and significant value it brings to both our guests and partner brands.”
Stonegate group also previously reported that the app has “transformed on-trade guest engagement” across its portfolio.
Recent promotions on the Mixr app also included a partnership with Asahi during the Euros 2024, which saw participating venues experience a 13% average sales uplift.
