Brightside Ram Jam Services in Rutland is located alongside the main route from Peterborough to Grantham and is part of a purpose-built retail development made up of four units.
The new site is adjacent to an established petrol station and a new bakery. It follows a number of new openings last year, including Brightside Exeter in February 2023 as well as Saltash and Honiton in June and August.
Replicating the interiors from its Devon and Cornwall sites, the site is said to have a “nostalgic and familiar, yet fun and modern” feel.
Cinematic interior
The venue boasts the “cinematic interior” style favoured by Brightside, with inspiration taken from the 1970s and 80s, caravan interiors, classic road trip movies and memories of roadside dining and holidays from a bygone era.
Brightside operations manager Charlie Jones said: “We are delighted that our Brightside experience, and our unique reinterpretation of roadside dining, is now available for those heading north.
“Ram Jam Services is an incredibly popular stop off for many motorists so this a great opportunity for us to offer them something new and really exciting.”
The menu at Brightside Ram Jam Services includes breakfasts, burgers, fish and chips, sourdough pizzas, salad bowls, a selection of sundaes, the Brightside Brownie with soft serve ice cream alongside a variety of cakes and shakes.
Excellent choice
Jones continued: “Brightside Ram Jam is on a popular route, only 15 minutes from Rutland Water which attracts almost 2m visitors every year.
“As well as catering to travellers we are also an excellent choice for those who live nearby, so we’re looking forward to meeting lots of locals too.”
