Electric Shuffle to open third London site
Electric Shuffle – owned by Red Engine, which also counts interactive darts concept Flight Club among its brands – has opted to open near to Coal Drops Yard area in a 400sq ft, 400-people-capacity venue and will join existing venues in Canary Wharf and London Bridge.
Meanwhile, the brand’s global reach outside of the UK will continue with a new opening set for Chicago, US, next year as well.
These two new venues follow summer openings in Manchester and New York, and will bring the total number of Electric Shuffle sites globally to nine – five years since the first venue opened in Canary Wharf.
Craft cocktails
Electric Shuffle promises to offer “stylish interior design, craft cocktails and sharing plates with its high-tech take on the game of shuffleboard”.
The site will be set over one floor and feature 12 shuffle table play spaces, two bars, plenty of seating and an outdoor terrace with additional seating.
Red Engine CEO and founder Steve Moore said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing the Electric Shuffle experience to another cracking London location.
Memorable moments
“This area of King’s Cross is a hub of cool, well-loved brands with a buzzing nightlife. We’re so excited to be a part of that. We look forward to helping create memorable moments for groups of locals and visitors to the area when we open our doors next year.”
James Rayner, head of retail for Related Argent, the developer and asset manager of the King’s Cross estate said: “We have been testing the market with our seasonal competitive socialising activations over the past four years, so we already know people want to supplement their shopping trips with other experience-led activities.
“The arrival of Electric Shuffle marks a significant shift in the retail and leisure offer at King’s Cross and taps into growing demand for competitive socialising in the UK, so we are confident this new permanent addition to the estate will be a resounding success. We can’t wait to see them open the doors to the public next spring.”
