Well, look no further. The Cask Project, which is run by The Morning Advertiser, is hosting a live chat with industry experts on Tuesday 15 October at 3pm.

The webinar, which is sponsored by Greene King, will see some well-known faces from across the cask ale industry who will be talking about the subject in detail.

Thornbridge Brewery CEO and co-founder Simon Webster will be talking to webinar host and associate features editor at The Morning Advertiser, Gary Lloyd, about Modern-style cask and giving some background on the brewery that produces beers such as Jaipur 5.9% ABV IPA, Green Mountain 4.3% ABV Hazy Session IPA and Lukas 4.2% ABV Helles lager.

Different beers

Greene King head brewer Jack Palmer will be one of the panellists who will be giving viewers a Focus on brewing and will be discussing the different beers the brewery makes and the difference in dispense methods that means certain ingredients work better on cask.

Also on the panel is Angie May, who is the on-trade category manager for insights at Greene King. May will be looking at the Suffolk-headquartered business’s Stats in cask and crunching the numbers to see how pub operators can take advantage of the cask market.

Control methods

Quality control is the subject for John Malone, who is Greene King head of internal sales and engagement. He will be talking about the strict control methods employed at Greene King that ensures all beers are brewed and leave the premises in optimum conditions and what a licensee can do to continue that journey to the customer’s glass.

Finally, there will be a panel discussion with everyone involved and there’s a chance any questions you submit could be answered during the webinar.
