According to data from the Office of National statistics, recorded wages of various occupations throughout the hospitality trade in 2023 are as follows.
Kitchen team members:
Cooks, according to ONS average wages were at £21,777
Chefs were recorded at £26,000.
Food preparation and hospitality trades were stood at £25,484.
According to Reed average salary checker, Commis chef wages were at £42,435
With sous chef wages: £43,820
CDP wages were discovered to be £43,253

Publican salaries and managers of licensed premises were noted at £33,477
With restaurant and catering establishment managers and proprietors, recorded at £30,717
Managers and proprietors in hospitality leisure services were logged at £32,477 per annum.
Bar and waiting staff:
According to Access, bar and catering supervisor wages stood at £21,617
With catering and bar manager wages recorded to be at £25,901
With waiters and waitresses annual salaries standing at £18,426 according to Access. Contrastingly, recorded at £30,036 according to Reed.
Coffee shop workers were also stated to be at £19, 727 per annum according to Access Hospitality.
Comparatively, according to job site Indeed, server salaries within hospitality were recorded at £24,760 with kitchen assistant wages standing at, £27,869, and kitchen porter wages at £21,453 alongside bar staff salaries at £19,179.
