The Brown Cow is Butcombe’s first and very exciting all-day casual dining venue in the heart of Fulham.
This urban landscape is perfect for the concept and with its ability to open out all of the large windows makes it an all-season-round venue to visit.
Unique with its open kitchen, expansive bar and full of great choices of Butcombe’s own beers plus great cocktails, it’s everyone’s go to venue. Never lost for reasons to visit with weekly quizzes, live music and an award-winning offer – throw in a few football games and you’ve got a buoyant high street venue that is multifaceted in many ways.
The publican
Sebastiano Principato - The G.O.A.T. and face of the Brown Cow – is a local legend and extremely well known for being the general manager.
Seb has been at the Brown Cow coming up to eight years now and has a certain celebrity status that is understated as he, along with his team, knowingly deliver the very best hospitality, setting the bar high and being talk of the town.
The trade
It is urban, casual dining with a focus on delivering an amazing all-day offer. From an amazing brunch and award-winning food offer throughout the day to cocktails, worldwide wine list, award-winning beer and, of course, exceptional service guaranteed.
Customers range from coffee connoisseurs to morning mother/fathers’ clubs, work-from-home employees, to surrounding office workers and a very loyal residents crowd, which comprises of some of the most well-known celebrities in sports and music (mum’s the word on who they are).
We are nicely balanced with a strong foody scene that is complemented with a brilliant drinks offer.
The team
The pub is a ground-floor operation with an open kitchen gantry, ensuring the kitchen team is part of the customers’ experience and the team is also part of the atmosphere.
Understanding the buzz in the front of house is really important and there is a mutual respect from both when the pressure is on to deliver.
With fresh produce front and centre through to the delivery of our menu, we have a kitchen full of talented chefs lead by Ali who is consistent in his delivery of our exceptional offer.
We have more than 20 full and part-time employees across the business.
The drink
It was one of our dreams to get Butcombe products into London and great to see Butcombe Original ale available in pubs as well as Tall Tales kegged pale ale.
You will also find the multi-award-winning Goram Zero, which is absolutely flying, as customers move to ‘zebra’ drinking occasions.
Cocktails are a staple at the Brown Cow, and you won’t walk far before seeing an Espresso Martini around the venue.
We are passionate about great wine and work closely with our suppliers to ensure our offer is relevant to the season and food we are producing. Having the team to deliver this is essential and I’m extremely proud of the hard work and dedication the team have shown in delivering all of this from the heart.
The food
We are lucky to have a stellar kitchen team lead by Ali that is focused on delivering a top service during all different day parts.
It’s an all-day venue so we kick off with an amazing breakfast and brunch offer that moves to lunch, all-day snacks and an evening offer that includes a ‘choose your own weight’ of meat, which is very popular. Then sit back and enjoy your meal with a glass of magnificent red while soaking in Fulham high road’s fast-paced lifestyle.
The events
From quizzes to live music and football to tasting menus, the Brown Cow offers everyone local an opportunity to visit. The shape of the venue lends itself to wonderfully to private events and group bookings and you are never short of seeing a few celebrations and dinner dates while there.
The future
The team has a real focus on landing its current offer and is excited about the autumn and winter trading opportunities ahead.
We will continue to evolve the menu both food and drink, and work closely with our suppliers on landing some very exciting interaction activity over the next few months.
There’s lots happening and we are very excited about the future opportunity of launching a few more brunch/casual dining offers across the business.
