Pub operator and brewer Greene King has introduced its first super-fast electric vehicle (EV) charging facility.

Installed at the Hobby Horse Farm pub in Syston, Leicestershire, the new hub has been reported to have the capacity to charge eight vehicles concurrently at speeds of up to 150kW.

With this new instalment, Greene King said drivers would be able to recharge vehicles within 30 minutes.

Focused on a sustainability centred approach and pioneering environmental awareness, Greene King has more than 1,200 EV charging bays located at pubs and support centres throughout the UK.

More hubs are set to be installed this year at Greene King pub car parks, in partnership with evyee an EV network provider.

Greene king has up to 166 EV bays pending connection, with 75 to 100 EV charging locations and 300 additional bays expected throughout 2024.
