The Hound is the third site from JKS and Dom Jacobs, following on from the success of Chelsea's Cadogan Arms and Fitzrovia's The George, two super-charged pubs that kickstarted the London super-pub renaissance.
Significant investment has seen the team transform what was once a former police station into a modern coaching inn, with rooms set to open to customers later in the summer.
The site features “a bustling pub floor, an inviting reception room, two private dining rooms, a covered outdoor courtyard and a south-facing front terrace, and will be open for lunch, dinner and bar snacks seven days a week.” The outdoor courtyard features a fully retractable roof and side doors allowing diners to be enclosed in the winter months.
The main private dining room seats up to 18 guests and features an exposed brick ceiling from three combined former prison cells, paying homage to the building’s storied past, while other former cells have been converted for wine storage, featuring the original prison doors.
