The data came from PubTrack, which combines CGA’s Outlet Index data with a survey of 10,000 national representative pubgoers, aims to deliver accurate insights into guest behaviours and sentiment towards a wide range of metrics.
It breaks down factors such as region and market segment, revealing guests’ expectations, preferences and spending drivers.
Last year, the top five were Brunning & Price, McMullen & Sons, Brakspear, Daniel Thwaites and Everards.
Top businesses
For 2024, alongside Brunning Price in first place was St Austell in second, followed by Hydes, Youngs and Everards.
In sixth was JW Lees, which was ahead of Wellington in seventh, Trust Inns at eighth, Punch at ninth and McMullen & Sons, which was 10th.
Brunning & Price also topped the rankings when measured solely by guest recommendation ratings, ahead of Youngs and St Austell.
Inside track
Hydes Anvil was the highest scoring with guest satisfaction, following by Brunning & Price and JW Lees in second and third respectively.
Furthermore, City Pub Company had the highest likelihood of a revisit, ahead of St Austell and JD Wetherspoon.
