Hunt is under way for the Great British Pub of the Year

The awards, organised by The Morning Advertiser (MA), recognise excellence across the pub sector and are the ones to win for anyone running a great pub and this year, the awards marks 25 years of rewarding pub success.
Ed Bedington, editor of the MA, said: “These awards have been running for a quarter of a century now and are the pinnacle for anyone in the pub sector, recognising great sites across a range of categories, and picking out the best of the best.

Fantastic boost
He added: “Entering the awards itself is a great way to take a step back and assess your business, how it’s running and where your strengths and weaknesses are. Last year saw the Cholmondeley Arms take home the overall title of Great British Pub of the Year, and owner Tim Bird said: "I said when we opened, we can be a beacon of hope for rural pubs... for the team, this is just amazing. Our award has helped us shine a great light on the strength of the rural pub in the UK and we are very honoured indeed to have been able to do this for others to follow."
The awards will be returning to Victoria Warehouse in Manchester on Tuesday 17 September 2024 for a celebration of epic proportions.
