Robinsons reopens pub after six-week transformation
The doors swung open on Thursday 14 December, revealing a transformed space that promises “a fresh and comfortable space”.
The Navigation has four distinct areas that have all enjoyed a spruce up, including a local bar, bar lounge, main bar trading space and another intimate room at the back – where a new log burner has been installed, creating a fire focal point and adding to “the cosy charm”.
Walls have been removed and clear glazed screens added, providing a more open and inviting atmosphere, Robinsons said.
Remarkable transformation
Robinsons said: “The interior underwent a remarkable transformation with the introduction of new flooring, furniture and decorations brightening up the whole area.
“The redesigned bar features two counters and serves as a focal point in the pub.”
It continued: “Notable updates include the replacement of all lighting with mood lighting, pendant lights over the bar and seating. A rich colour palette of warm red and off black creates a warm and welcoming area. Wallpapers featuring local history and country images line the walls adding a touch of character to the interior.”
Versatile venue
The makeover has also extended to the toilets with the gentlemen’s facilities receiving a facelift and the ladies’ reconfigured to accommodate a baby changing unit.
Situated on the outskirts of Marple town centre, Robinsons said the pub offers a “convenient car park”. Upstairs, there is a redecorated function room, complete with new toilets for special events. Additionally, the function room doubles as a meeting space, providing a versatile venue for various occasions.
Robinsons said: “The Navigation pub invites the local community and visitors alike to experience its renewed charm, celebrating the perfect blend of tradition and modernity.
“The pub aims to continue serving as a welcoming hub for customers to gather, relax and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere.”
