Thatchers reveal new seasonal cider
Spiced Apple (4% ABV) offers flavours of warming spices, including cinnamon, cloves and ginger, mixed with sweet Somerset cider and balanced with spicy citrus notes.
Thatchers head of on-trade James Palmer said: “Consumers love to see new and exciting ciders on the bar.
“As we approach the Autumn and Winter months, adding a new seasonal flavour to the bar will keep their interest in cider high.

Classic combination
The new seasonal flavour can be served cold straight from the Fusion Font, which allows operators to dispense three ciders on one font, or heated as a spiced mulled cider.
Palmer added offering a versatile cider like Spiced Apple provides operators the chance to “boost cider sales” during winter.
Others flavours available in the Thatchers Fusion Font range include Dark Berry, Blood Orange and Cloudy Lemon.

Increased sales
Cider has proved popular in managed venues in recent weeks, with industry data showing sales for the category have helped trade hit double digit growth looking at sales by value.
The most recent Daily Drinks Tracker form CGA by NIQ estimated cider sales rocketed by 54% year-on-year in the seven days to Saturday 9 September while trade finished 17% ahead of 2022 levels in the week to Saturday 16 September.
