The Silver Plough in Pitton, South Wiltshire is currently closed for refurbishment.
Works to renovate the upstairs and the old skittle alley to form seven bedrooms will then begin in Spring 2024.
A spokesperson for the business said the Silver Plough was a “great addition” to the group, being another country boozer in a “thriving community with big potential”.
The Chickpea Group operates a handful of pubs with rooms and pizza shops through the South West.
Guests at the Silver Plough, located near Sailsbury, can expect a menu typical of the pub group. ‘Pub bangers’ will feature, and dishes will be made with seasonal, local produce from the West Country.
What's on the menu?
The drinks menu will feature a selection of local lagers and ales on tap, including Wiltshire brewery, Rude Giant Brew Co, plus a concise cocktail list and wine list by local wine merchant Gardner and Beadle.
The £200,000 invested into the site is split equally between a total kitchen refit and some changes in the pub itself.
“The pub’s flow has improved enormously and there’s plenty of cosy corners to nestle into,” the spokesperson added.

Internal features
The Silver Plough’s interiors feature beamed ceilings, wooden floors and fireplaces, and there will be three large areas for dining inside with space for around 100 covers.
At the front of the pub, there is also a beer garden.
There will be 15 members of full time staff and another 15 working part time.
The Chickpea Group’s recent opening, the Queen’s Head in Broad Chalke, is also about to commence works to renovate the upstairs, which will create five more bedrooms, in addition to the existing four which are now open in an annexe building behind the pub.
