Lunch was served at nearby venue Hanbao where a selection of delicious burgers and sides were available.
Delegates were taking on a study tour of vibrant venues in the nearby Custard Factory to see what the area had to offer.
Chance & Counters
The first stop on the study tour was Chance & Counters. Located in the heart of the iconic Custard Factory, the site has more than 500 games for guests to choose from alongside a varied selection of new and popular board games available to buy.
It houses 10 draught beer and cider lines, featuring both local and national brewers. The Digbeth site is the business’ third venue with others in Bristol and Cardiff.
Kilo Ziro
Next up was Kilo Ziro – the UK’s first zero waste café bar and taproom serving a selection of organic natural and biodynamic wines, available by the glass via its self-service ‘wine and fizz refills’ tap wall while local craft beers and ciders are available on tap via refillable stainless-steel kegs.
Its mindfully crafted cocktail menu uses selected spirits combined with innovative methods of reducing waste and lowering carbon footprint.
Passing Fancies
The third spot on the tour was Passing Fancies. Current number 32 on the Top 50 Cocktail Bars list, this recent addition to Digbeth opened last year.
The site serves up a food menu as “fluid and tasty” as its drinks offer, ensuring there’s always something exciting to try.
The Floodgate
Lastly, the group visited The Floodgate – a competitive socialising, drink and entertainment venue.
Home to Birmingham’s only batting cage experience, Bleachers offered six batting cages with pitch balls at speeds of up to 90kph.
