The latest addition to the Hive Pubs portfolio, the Essex Skipper, in Frinton, Essex, has benefitted from a £400,000 investment to transform the site.
Greene King partnerships and ventures managing director Wayne Shurvinton said: "Reaching 30 Hive Pub openings is another huge milestone for us.

Major events
Foodwise, the site will offer pub classics curated by the food team at Greene King alongside desserts and a wide range of drinks.
In line with the brands other sites, the Essex Skipper, which is located just half a mile from the beach and seaside amenities, will also regularly host events such as live sport, quizzes and music gigs.
Moreover, as with all Hive Pubs, sport will be a key part of the offering and the site will benefit from Sky Sports and BT Sport subscriptions to show all the major events.
The pub will open under operation of franchisees the Clarke family, consisting of Peter, his daughter Louise and his granddaughter Rosie, who have strong links to the local area as well as experience of running pubs.

A Hive Pubs franchise agreement offers licensees a ready-to-trade pub within a proven branded concept for just £5,000 ingoing cost.
Franchisees can expect a minimum guaranteed income of £20,000 and they also get a percentage of food and drink sales as well as a share of the profits in their pub and can earn a bonus as well.
