Now is the time to stand up and by counted as one of the best operators in the business as the Publican Awards 2023 get underway.

Companies across the hospitality sector are being urged to get their entries in and firmly plant their flags in the ground as the best businesses to work for in the sector.

The Publican Awards, which is organised by The Morning Advertiser, recognises excellence across the industry, from best employer, to the most sustainable companies in the business.

Ed Bedington, editor of the MA, said: “With the challenges currently facing the sector, it's never been more important for businesses to demonstrate where they stand on key issues and being named a Publican Award winner is one of the best ways to do that.

“We’ve got serious issues when it comes to recruitment and attracting talent. Being able to say you’re setting standards within the industry is a great way to mark your company out as one of the best to work for.”

The Publican Awards, which has been running for 32 years now, recognise the best operators in the UK pub and bar scene across a range of categories and entries are now open for the awards, which will take place at London Evolution in Battersea on 29 March 2023.

Bedington added: “This competition is a great way to reflect on your operation - take a step back and kick the tyres. It’s not easy and it’s going to be a challenge, but a challenge that is well worth taking as the rewards are immeasurable.

“Making it through to the final itself is an impressive achievement and I’d urge as many of you to enter the competition this year and benchmark yourselves against the best in the business.”

The awards are sponsored by Britvic Soft Drinks, Budweiser Brewing Group UK&I, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Heineken UK and Molson Coors Beverage Company.
