The venue, which is a Stonegate-managed site operated by outstanding licensee Paul Eastwood, really stands out in West Kensington, which is not an easy thing to do in the centre of London.
Unrivalled box number
It’s a big pub with a circular layout set on differing levels and offers every customer a view of one of its 36 screens and two giant projectors wherever they are seated or stood. The pub can be cut into six separate sound zones so you won’t be disturbed by commentary clash in your area.
It has an unrivalled number of digital boxes that not only allow sports fans to watch UK channels, there is also the opportunity to watch foreign streams with native commentary, such as ice hockey from Scandinavia. Additionally, the pub hosts sports clubs for overseas visitors and ex-pats, which include ice hockey fans from Finland and a Juventus football group.
Thriving atmosphere
And the bars, which are centrally located have a great range of drinks on offer such as craft beers from across the world that only few people would even heard of, plus all the favourites of sports fans, including cask lines too, and there’s a great food menu as well. The staff know their stuff too and grabbing a quick taster of any of the beers and ciders is no problem at all, and there’s a chance to learn about the drinks on the pub’s six-strong craft beer wall.
The biggest area is to the rear, which is decorated in sponsors’ colours, has a thriving atmosphere and pool tables to use – especially if it’s your mate’s team playing and not yours!
And it’s not just sport on offer, the pub hosts live music, generally on a Friday night, so there’s no excuse to not visit in you live in the capital because the Tube station is right next door to the pub.
