In the affluent town of Windsor, you’ve got to do something special to be able to stand out from a competitive crowd of operators, and the Greene Oak is certainly something special.

The first site for the relatively newly formed Brucan Pub Company, the Greene Oak has quickly established an impeccable reputation for itself in the Windsor community, and further afield as well.

This is an immaculate and stunning venue that still looks as good as it did on the day the team opened it following a major refurbishment a few years ago.

In-depth knowledge

The company claims to be taking hospitality back to its roots, and they’ve certainly created a stunning example of a modern, yet traditional pub that appeals across the generations.

Set up by James Lyon Shaw and Jamie Dobbin, who first met in the kitchen of the Ivy, the Greene Oak was their opening statement of intent as they established a fast growing new pub company.

They’ve brought a wealth of skill and knowledge to the business, with Dobbin having worked under some of the best chefs in London. But it’s not all about having great food!

Strong overall offer

That superb food offer is backed up by an impressive drinks range, from cask beers and lagers to great wines, spirits and cocktails.

Recent investment has seen the pub garden further enhanced with a stunning stretch tent, which enables the site to continue offering al-fresco dining year round.

Strong connections to the local community has seen the pub form close links with homeless charities in Windsor which they work hard to support on a year-round basis.

Despite the company growing, recently expanding to four sites across the area, the Greene Oak remains a standout operation not only within the business but the local community.
