It continued: “Our strong hope is that a buyer can be found and that the brewery in some form will continue to be part of life in Cornwall for many years to come.
“We would like to take this opportunity to thank our staff, stockists, suppliers, the ‘Skinner’s Beer Tribe’ and the whole community for so many years of steadfast support. We hope to bring you further updates soon.”
The business that is located in Truro, was founded in 1997 and employed 35 people. Its brewery gates were locked on Friday 30 September with no sign of anyone inside.
However, Skinner’s did tweet that its Old Ale House pub in Truro would remain open because it is not owned by the brewery.

Many people in both the on-trade and public took to Twitter to reacted to the news.
Crouch Vale Brewery said: “Very sad, of course, but perhaps those expressing surprise will begin to realise the crap which the sector has had to endure. Covid lockdowns but not a penny from the Gvt and full business rates payable throughout. Now absurd energy prices. Others will join the queue!”
The Old Boathouse added: “Oh, man, that is dreadful. So many good people there. Such great product. Hoping there is a good way out of this for all. Best wishes.”
Local resident Nicola Foxfield wrote: “Steve, we are so saddened to hear this. Your beer is our absolute favourite and the best I've ever drunk. If this is the end, I want you to know you've brought a lot of happiness to so many people.”
