This year’s Great British Pub Awards will be available to watch as the action happens through a high quality, livestream.

Hundreds of pubs entered the competition where judges had to whittle it down through a rigorous judging process, starting with two rounds of paper judging, on-the-road visits and final judging sessions.

The 2022 awards will be held on Tuesday 4 October in the vibrant city of Manchester at the inspiring Escape to Freight Island and is continuing the mission to recognise and reward the finest pubs and put ‘bums on seats and pride in teams’ across the country.

Live coverage

Multi-award winning comedian, presenter, author, actor and scriptwriter Russell Kane will be hosting the event, which has been a sell out.

However, this year’s Great British Pub Awards will be available on a TV-quality livestream for everyone to tune in.

Furthermore, there will also be an exclusive pre-awards show that starts at 6.30pm for all to watch, with live coverage from all the action at Escape to Freight Island, special guest appearances, highlights of the festival and even an interactive pub quiz.

There are more than a dozen categories with pubs from across the nation being named as finalists​.

Pub Oscars

Categories including Best Pub for Dogs, Best Pub for Entertainment, Best Sport Pub, Best Pub for Food and more.

There were also three new categories in this year’s awards – Best Sustainable Pub, Best Country/Rural Pub and Best City/Urban Pub.

Known as the Oscars of the pub industry, the competition has been running for almost three decades and recognises excellence across the sector, revealing the winner of each category and resulting in one pub being crowned the Great British Pub of the Year.
