Multi-site operator Beds & Bars has announced it has attained its third platinum award from Investors In People, as the company received a 100% positive response rate from its team members, having all answered yes when asked ‘would you recommend Beds and Bars as a place to work?’.

According to the company, Bed & Bars surpassed the industry and Investors In People benchmarks for employee welfare with policies such as its LifeHouse initiative, which offer housing and food to anyone in the company who needs it.

Beds & Bars people director Mark Vaughan said: “This award is only given to high performing companies that truly look after their people and we are over the moon to get such high-level recognition for what we do.

Continued commitment

“Coming fresh off a win for the Employee Wellbeing Award at this year's NITA awards, this hat trick of platinum cements our continued commitment to always putting people first.

“Every member of our team strives to work with ethics, work with integrity, work with pride and work with value.

“This exemplifies our company standards and values and we are so proud of each and every person working alongside us.”

Proud achievement

Beds & Bars has had a long-standing history with Investors In People, after the previous managing director, the late Franca Knowles MBE, reached out to be audited more than 15 years ago to challenge how Bed & Bars could improve its people strategy, something the company has never stepped back from.

Beds & Bars CEO Keith Knowles OBE said: “Holding on to our Investors In People Platinum for a third-year running is an incredibly proud achievement for me and the entire team.

“We continue the great work done by Franca, giving us the foundations to continue this journey together we call life."
