Joseph Holt goes platinum

pjimage-82.jpg

Closing this weeks round up is another Jubilee beer, Joseph Holt Brewery's limited edition Platinum Lager.

Made with  aromatic  Antipodean hops, Platinum Lager (5.2% ABV) is a riot of  summery fruit flavours thanks to refreshingly  light  notes of peach and passionfruit. Dry hopped and carefully chilled for three weeks, the result is a straw-coloured beer with a clean, crisp finish and zesty taste.

Joseph Holt head brewer Phil Parkinson said: ”We wanted to make a distinctly refreshing yet truly memorable canned lager to mark the Queen`s incredible milestone and years of peerless service.

"Beer, is of course, our national drink. Yet the hops we use to make Platinum Lager actually come from Australia, so there is a link to the Commonwealth too. The design of the tin also means the beer cans will make for very festive table pieces at any Jubilee celebration."

As well as producing the canned Platinum lager , the brewery has also released a specially brewed a Jubilee refreshing pale cask ale, bursting with tropical fruit notes and a clean bitter finish, also available for a limited time at all 127 Joseph Holt pubs.
