The awards, which celebrate anyone who has gone above and beyond, been an inspiration, given up their time to help others or carried out acts of kindness, welcomed winners together with their friends and family to celebratory Sunday lunches, hosted by TV chef Brian Turner CBE and held at either The Half Moon, Herne Hill, London or The Bear of Burton, Christchurch, which took place on Sunday 20 March and Sunday 10 April respectively.
Fuller's marketing director Jane Jones said: “It has been humbling to read all the nominations we received for the Pride of Fuller’s Awards.
Recognising hard work
"There were some incredible and inspiring stories of people who have gone above and beyond in selfless acts of kindness. Stories included fundraising for local and national causes, volunteering as key workers and for local community initiatives, and supporting the more vulnerable by cooking meals and running errands.
"It has been an honour to recognise the hard work and dedication of so many during recent challenging times through the Pride of Fuller’s Awards."
In order to choose the 20 winners, the public were invited to make nominations online, of which more than 250 were received, with the winners then chosen by a Fuller’s judging panel.
Local heroes
Brian Turner CBE said: “I am honoured to host the Pride of Fuller’s Awards. No matter how big or small the act of goodwill, these awards were open to all.
"The past couple of years have been unprecedented and challenging for everyone, the Pride of Fuller’s Awards was a way of saying thank you to those local heroes. I am proud to be a part of it.”
