Admiral Taverns appoints software firm to integrate Hawthorn estate
The move means operations at all 674 pubs in the Hawthorn portfolio will blend into the Admiral Taverns set-up through a single ERP solution that covers the implementation of the Ocean Dynamics proprietary pubco vertical solution. This will cover all aspects of finance, sales, purchasing, capital management and reporting. It is claimed “Admiral will benefit from a feature-rich single system to support their entire business”.
Admiral Taverns chief executive Chris Jowsey said: “Besides their feature-rich pubco solution, from the moment Admiral Taverns’ team engaged with Ocean Dynamics, their years of experience in the industry was plain to see.”
Cost-effective path
Jowsey continued: “They listened to what we needed and were quickly able to demonstrate their understanding, with a clear and cost-effective path to achieve our goals. It is for these reasons, and their future plans and focus on our industry, that Admiral Taverns have chosen to partner with Ocean Dynamics.”
Ocean Dynamics business director Tim Green added: “I am delighted Admiral Taverns have chosen Ocean Dynamics to integrate their and Hawthorn businesses using our pubco solution (built on Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central) – this represents a strategic partnership for us.
“We look forward to working with Admiral Taverns’ team over the coming months to deliver a successful project and engaging with them, along with our other pubco customers, to help shape the future releases of our solution.”
Recent investments
Admiral Taverns, which has its headquarters in Chester, operates a national estate of about 1,600 predominantly wet-led community pubs.
The pub operator recently ploughed £370,000 into a joint venture to redevelop a former nightclub into a sports bar in Dartford, Kent. Admiral Taverns also put the same amount into another pub project together with new licensees at the Hollybush in Salt, near Stafford, earlier this month.
