The British Credit Awards identifies individuals, teams, and organisations within the international credit industry, that have seen outstanding achievements and recognises all the hard work which has been accomplished throughout the year.
Stonegate, the only pub company to have been shortlisted, credit control team has been nominated as a finalist in the categories of B2B Team of the Year, Best Employer of the Year and new category, Resilience and Continuity Award.
Stonegate Group chief financial officer Dave Ross said: “It is incredible for the credit control team at Stonegate to be recognised at these awards.
Testament to great work
“Moreover, being the only pub company in the final is humbling and is a testament to the great work Stonegate and indeed our industry is doing.”
This comes after Stonegate became the entire issued share capital holder of Hippo Inns, following its acquisition of the remaining 25% of the company for an undisclosed sum last month.
Furthermore, following the acquisition of Ei Group on 3 March 2020 for £1.27bn, Stonegate became the largest pub company in the UK, with a portfolio comprised of 1,270 sites and 13,500 employees within its managed division as well as 3,200 leased and tenanted businesses.
Despite being the only finalist in the hospitality industry this year, Stonegate are not the only company from the sector to have been featured in the British Credit Awards in recent years.
Proud to be shortlisted
In 2020, Katherine Bailey FCICM of hotel and restaurant development and acquisition company, Valor Hospitality, was nominated for and subsequently won the Giving Back Reward.
This year’s awards are due to take place on Thursday 24 March 2022 at The Royal Lancaster, London.
Ross added: “I am very proud of the team’s dedication and hard work, which has contributed to them being shortlisted.”
