Company expansion: Arc Inspirations is set to open more sites

Arc Inspirations, the 17-strong premium bar operator, is set to expand with two new openings – Box in Deansgate, Manchester and its first ever site in the Midlands with Manahatta, Birmingham.

The group currently operates  premium bars across the north of England, under the brands of Banyan Bar & Kitchen, Box and Manahatta.

The company is now venturing into a new city, Birmingham, with the introduction of its Manahatta brand in September, and bringing a Box to Deansgate the following month.

New site details

Box is a high-quality sports bar and kitchen where customers can "eat, drink, view, play and party".  Its current locations include Leeds city centre, Headingley and Chapel Allerton.

The 8,000sq ft Deansgate venue is spread over two floors, featuring an outdoor terrace. The ground floor will have an island bar, surrounded by 20 top-of-the-range TV screens. The venue will also feature two 21-foot maple wood European Shuffleboard tables.

The main bar’s key showpiece is the tanks filled with Budvar, which arrives fresh and unpasteurised directly from the Czech Republic, served alongside a range of  UK craft beers on tap.

Manahatta, Birmingham is located on Temple Street and will be the seventh site for the brand, whose current locations include Leeds, Manchester, York and Harrogate.

Popular addition

The New York-themed bar will boast two deluxe private party rooms available for hire – one including a swing.

“Despite a challenging time, we’re determined to push forward and grow our successful portfolio of brands by introducing them to new cities and locations. We’re thrilled to be coming to a new city and are confident the Manahatta brand will be a popular addition to the Birmingham bar scene,” said Arc Inspirations boss Martin Wolstencroft.

“Box is currently well established in Leeds and the surrounding area, and Manchester has been a key target for some time now. We feel this is the right time to bring the brand to the city and the opening also fits perfectly with our cluster strategy of operating complementary brands in close vicinity to each other.”
