'The Government needs to get out of the way'

The Government needs to get out of the way and let the sector manage the process of reopening safely, according to leading hospitality investor Charlie McVeigh.

Speaking to The Morning Advertiser’s editor Ed Bedington, McVeigh said he was angry at the political handling of the situation and said the solution needed to be people led, not Government led.

He also wants to see pubs open to bring joy back to society, and he’s founded Project Pint to help make that become a reality.
