Educating the sector

A spokesperson for the campaign said: “This is a key hospitality-wide editorial initiative with the aim of educating the sector on what support is out there and providing advice on how to best navigate this extremely tricky situation.

“The campaign, in addition to providing daily insight and breaking news, will also see the creation of a sector advisory board that will include key figures from companies from across a wide spectrum of expertise, including Just Eat, Shelley Sandzer, Shield Safety, Elliotts PR, RMS, Gannons Solicitors, the British Beer & Pub Association, Poppleston Allen and many other organisations.”

Experts from the campaign’s partners will be on hand over the coming months to answer any questions from hospitality employers and employees.

Due to the experience and calibre of the experts, they will be able to answer anything in respect of employment law, managing finances, dealing with landlords as well as how to tap into Government support.

Assist operators

The spokesperson continued: “We, as key hospitality trade media, are determined to assist operators and employees in navigating this crisis and are calling for all industry professionals to get in touch and to contribute their expertise as the industry goes through this very challenging period.”

Operators will be able to ask their questions by getting in touch with The Morning Advertiser using our social media channels and #UnitedWeStand or by emailing Ed.Bedington@wrbm.com. Suppliers wishing to help should email Chris.Duffett@wrbm.com.

#UnitedWeStand has been created by William Reed hospitality titles BigHospitality, Restaurant magazine and The Morning Advertiser and is supported by Arla Pro, McCain, Unilever Food Solutions.
