The legal issues around running a pub can be complex and challenging, but thankfully for readers, and listeners, to The Morning Advertiser, help is on hand.

The Morning Advertiser (MA) has teamed up with the legal eagles at Poppleston Allen to bring you a great podcast to answer your legal issues each month.

The Legal Surgery Podcast will take a range of common issues for licensees, along with any questions you want to ask directly and put them to a team of experts at the country’s leading licensing firm to give you the answers to help run your business safely, and legally.

This month, we once again will be speaking to David Inzani and Sarah Taylor, two of Poppleston Allen’s leading solicitors to examine a few key issues.

Forms of identification

David and Sarah will be looking at acceptable forms of identification, and what you as operators should be looking out for.

They will be tackling issues around how to avoid breaching your premises licence, and what those penalties would be, and with summer approaching, how do you avoid upsetting the neighbours with a busy and noisy beer garden, without losing your customers.

Next month the podcast will be focusing on a number of issues, including handling drug problems in your business to dealing with underage drinkers and organising a beer festival.

To put your questions to the team, please email your legal questions to yrtny@zbeavatnqiregvfre.pb.hx and we’ll pick them up for discussion in future podcasts over the coming months.
