Pitcher & Piano will open its 18th UK site in Sheffield on 19 October.

The new venue will occupy the former National Union of Mineworkers (NUM) building and host a launch party on Friday 19 October to celebrate its opening.

Pitcher & Piano Sheffield will join venues in York, Nottingham, Harrogate, Birmingham and Newcastle in the brand’s stable – which, since Pitcher & Piano’s founding in 1986, has grown to include a number of sites in listed buildings.

Pitcher & Piano managing director Colin Sadler commented: “We’re thrilled to be opening our brand-new site in Sheffield. The former NUM building offers a unique character, in line with our other beautifully designed bars across the country.

“Sheffield is a brilliant, vibrant city steeped in culture. Our latest site is stone’s throw from City Hall and the city’s famous theatre complex.

“We hope it will become an after-work favourite for the people of Sheffield.

“We look forward to welcoming you into our new home!”
