Chadwell Springs, which has been operated by McMullen since 1974, has been recently upgraded to include a new golf shop, public house and improved family golf centre.
Alongside the new nine hole, par-three golf course, opening on 13 August, the site boasts a 20-bay driving range, pitch and putt and foot golf facilities, as well as pub and restaurant the Kings Mead – which was rebuilt in 2017.
McMullen’s joint managing director Haydon Mizon commented: “This has been an exciting project for us as not only does it provide those living in and around Hertford and Ware with a great pub, offering a great dining experience, but also a full family entertainment facility for golfers of all abilities.
“McMullen’s next new-build pub will be in Biggleswade with a provisional opening date of December. Having just redeveloped our high-street bar, The Practitioner, in Hertford, we continue to look for new venues, build plots and small to medium-sized pub groups within the south-east.”
Founded in 1827, brewer and pub operator McMullen operates around 130 pubs across London and surrounding counties.
The operator became the first in the UK to name a pub after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third child, Prince Louis, in May 2018.
