The discount is available until Wednesday 1 August and includes the new mains from its summer menu such as a 10oz butterfly sirloin steak, grilled tuna steak and the double-stacked smoky barbecue steak burger.
Beefeater released its new menu for this summer and dishes include chicken and chorizo skewers; grilled halloumi salad; and scallops for starters.
Main dishes featured are grilled tuna steak; halloumi and chimichurri veggie burger; smoky barbecue steak burger; and lemon and thyme chicken, alongside new puddings such as chocolate marquise cake; pink gin truffle; and chocolates churros sundae.
Summer menu
The Whitbread brand wasn’t the only pub group to launch its summer menu as Stonegate-owned high-street chain Yates unveiled a new menu in June, including a host of changes to the previous offer.
New options include a fish finger sub sandwich from £3.95, pancake stacks from £2.25, and halloumi and chips from £5.25.
The chain’s burger options have expanded and Yates has introduced four new choices – from a crispy southern-fried chicken Alabama burger and Mexican chilli cheese burger, both priced from £7.95, to a zingy vegetarian ‘bang Thai dee’ burger, available from £6.45.
Saver option
However, the group was keen to emphasise the existing dishes that would remain on the menu – the 8oz rump steak (from £7.75) will stay on the grill menu and the ‘heroes’ section still has options such as chicken tikka masala (from £4.95), beef and ale pie (from £5.25), and fish and chips (from £4.95).
In May last year, Beefeater launched its Daytime Saver menu, with dishes available for £5. The menu offers five options including beer-battered fish and chips, roasted vegetable linguine, 6oz gammon steak, an open chicken sandwich and a beef steak burger alongside steak and triple-cooked chips, priced at just £6.
The dishes are available at 130 of Beefeater’s 150-strong estate, from Monday to Saturday, 12noon until 6.30pm.
