New non-alcoholic premium drink launched in the UK

Pernod Ricard has announced a partnership that will see it exclusively distribute a new non-alcoholic premium drink to the UK market.

Ceder’s is set to launch in the UK from July, and will come in three different flavours. The drink is designed to contain all of the flavours of gin, without the alcohol, and will tap into the growing demand for non-alcoholic drink choices.

Created by husband and wife entrepreneurs Craig Hutchison and Maria Sehlstrom, Ceder’s is a combination of Swedish style and pristine water, with wild and rare South African botanicals, found in the Cederberg mountains of the Western Cape.

Three flavour range

The three variants are: Ceder's Classic (akin to a classic gin, mostly juniper but with floral hints), Ceder's Wild (juniper combined with ginger, clove and rooibos) and Ceder's Crisp (juniper combined with citrus, cucumber and camomile).

Ceder's is working exclusively in partnership with Pernod Ricard UK to bring the drink, which comes in 50cl bottles, to market.

“We are proud to launch Ceder's and have realised our ambition to create a hand-crafted alt-gin with natural botanical distillates and extracts,” said Ceder's co-founder Hutchison. “We want to satisfy those looking for a non-alcoholic serve without sacrificing premium and sophisticated flavour experiences."

Meeting growing demand

Explaining the rationale behind the name of the product, Hutchison added: "My wife and I came up with the idea after discovering a magical valley in the Cederberg mountains and we are excited to partner with Pernod Ricard UK to bring Ceder's to market.”

Pernod Ricard UK managing director Laurent Pillet added: “This is a growing and exciting area for Pernod Ricard UK and we are delighted to offer our customers and consumers a non-alcoholic gin alternative.

“It’s our ambition to continue to give consumers more choice and to satisfy the growing demand for no-alcohol options. We are delighted to work alongside Ceder's to offer exciting new premium serves to UK consumers.”
