Beer Day Britain, which takes place on Friday 15 June, has gone global with breweries, pubs, retailers, beer importers, British Embassies and beer drinkers planning a variety of events.
The All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group has encouraged MPs to visit breweries in their constituencies and the Society of Independent Brewers is launching its Brewers in the Community on 15 June to highlight the important role that brewing plays in local communities.

The focus of Beer Day Britain is the National Cheers To Beer at 7pm on 15 June. This entails raising a glass, saying 'cheers to beer' and posting a social media message with the hashtag #CheersToBeer. Last year, this hashtag trended several times during the day.
Magical ability
Beer sommelier and writer Jane Peyton, who instigated Beer Day Britain, said: “Beer is the most convivial drink and has a magical ability to unite people.
“It tastes better when consumed in company so what better way to come together to celebrate the national drink than participating in the National Cheers to Beer in the pub!”
Brewers and operators have taken to social media to highlight what they are doing to celebrate Beer Day Britain.
