The awards were held at The Hurlingham Club, Fulham, west London, last night (Monday 11 June), and are organised by The Morning Advertiser’s sister title, Restaurant magazine.

The highest placed pub on the list was last year’s number one, the Sportsman in Seasalter. The Kent pub topped the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropub Awards in 2015 and 2016, and came in top this year.
Award winners
The Sportsman did take home the Gastropub of the Year Award at this year’s event.
The top spot was taken by Thai restaurant Kiln in Soho, central London. The venue is owned by Ben Chapman and Brian Hannon, and focuses on the cooking of the south-east Asian country’s northern borderlands.
