First UK pub named after Royal Baby Prince Louis
The venue will open its doors to the public on 9 May as the 13th site launched as part of McMullen’s Chicken & Grill concept.
McMullen's site is the first in the UK to be named after Prince Louis, who was born on 23 April 2018 and joins the Prince George, in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, and the Princess Charlotte in Colchester, Essex, under the operator and brewer’s portfolio.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted to announce that they have named their son Louis Arthur Charles.

Heydon Mizon, joint managing director of McMullen's, commented: “We are delighted to have acquired and invested in this pub, which will contribute to the warm and friendly community of Great Notley. We hope that the locals will be just as happy to see it being reopened as we are.”
Claire and Aaron Wood, general managers of the Prince Louis, said: "We are thrilled to be opening in McMullens newest pub, our team have commenced training and were as excited as us to know the name of the baby and pub.”

Mizon added: “This is our most recent opening and follows on from previous Chicken & Grill and other concept openings at the Bootmaker, Chelmsford, Essex; Kings Mead, Ware, Hertfordshire; Chadwell Springs Family Golf Centre, Ware; and The Princess Charlotte in Colchester.
“The Chicken & Grill concept is a small part of Macs, it was developed in 2007 as part of our diverse pub, bar and hotel estate.
“The next site will be built in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire, with the opening planned before Christmas and we remain focused on new acquisitions to our estate”
