Wolves set to seal Premier League return against Midlands rivals
Wolverhampton Wanderers v Birmingham City – EFL Championship football – Sunday 15 April – Sky Sports football from 11.30am (kick-off at 12noon)
A expected win over relegation-threatened local rivals Birmingham City will guarantee a return to the Premier League next season for runaway Championship leaders Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s free-scoring side has led the way in England’s second tier for the vast majority of this season and took themselves to the brink of a top flight berth next season with an impressive midweek win over Derby County – capped by a goal of the season contender from Ruben Neves.
Birmingham City on the other hand have endured a torrid season despite optimism that they’d be scrapping at the other end of the table after starting the current campaign under Harry Redknapp.
While the Blues have seen a recent upturn in fortunes under new boss Garry Monk, they could sit in the Championship’s bottom three should they lose this weekend.
THAT. IS. OUTRAGEOUS!

From gold shirts to the Gold Coast. While Wolves fight for promotion, the final weekend of this year’s Commonwealth games sees the home nations make last-ditch attempts to climb the medal table in the wake of runaway leaders and hosts, Australia.
The weekend’s highlights include members of Team GB’s 2017 World Championship winning men’s 4x100m relay winning quartet Nethaneel Mitchell-Blake and Adam Gemili taking to the track for England as they look to topple a talented Jamaican quartet.
Away from the track, England’s husband and wife badminton pair Gabby and Chris Adcock look to retain their Commonwealth title on Sunday.

Manchester City have seen the fastest Premier League title and a Champions League semi-final berth slip through their fingers over the course of a week with two defeats at fortress Etihad Stadium.
Pep Guardiola’s side now find themselves two wins away from securing the league title – unless neighbours Manchester United do the unthinkable and lose to managerless bottom club West Brom at Old Trafford on Saturday.
City travel to Wembley to face a Spurs side yet to lose in 2018. Should Mauricio Pochettino’s side avoid defeat on Saturday they’ll set a new club record for the longest unbeaten run in the club’s history bettering their record stint from August to December 2015.
City, however, were the last team to beat Spurs when they inflicted a humbling 4-1 defeat at the Etihad Stadium on 16 December.
Chelsea v Manchester City – Women’s FA Cup semi-final – Sunday 15 April – BBC Two from 3.15pm (kick-off at 3.30pm)
The Women’s Super League’s top two sides clash at Chelsea’s Kingsmeadow stadium on Sunday as current league leaders Chelsea host FA Cup holders Manchester City.

Liverpool v Bournemouth – Premier League football – Saturday 14 April – BT Sport 1 and BT Sport 4KUHD from 5pm (kick-off at 5.30pm)
After reaching the semi-finals of the Champions League in midweek by snatching a 2-1 win at the Etihad Stadium, Liverpool will need to switch their focus from a potential sixth European title to picking up three points against Bournemouth – who sit comfortably in mid-table, 10 points clear of the relegation zone.
With a top-four finish, and Champions League football next season, seeming all but guaranteed for Jurgen Klopp’s side – they sit level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham, 10 points clear of Chelsea with just six games remaining – Liverpool will be hoping to put the pressure on second-placed Manchester United.
