We all love a big match – it can have a real impact on a pub’s takings.
But what ball-inspired sport fans have in enthusiasm, they certainly lack in common sense.
Why don’t they understand that there is no endless supply of glasses and if they don’t bring them back, they will in time run out.
Ill-trained imbeciles
The upshot of which is that these ill-trained imbeciles will have to wait longer for another drink while the glasswasher chugs to its finish.
And there’s that other little matter of breakages.
By all means go wild when your favourite team scores, but think about the glassware – those empty ones that are scattered across tables, window sills, shelves and any other surface that has a millimetre of space on which to precariously balance a drinking vessel.
