The two companies are joining forces to open 10 new sites over the next five years across the country. Thornbridge and Co. pubs will provide an expanding market with a quality craft offering and the opportunity for the full range of Thornbridge beers to be available to more people.
Both businesses are well established within the industry. Thornbridge Brewery has been brewing for 13 years, and already operates eight pubs in Sheffield, while the Pivovar group currently owns eight bars across the UK as well as their nationwide craft beer wholesale business. The two companies have worked alongside each other since the opening of The Sheffield Tap some eight years ago.
Birmingham site secured
Pivovar was also recently shortlisted in the Best Pub Brewing Company category for the 2018 Publican Awards.
The partnership has also announced it has secured its first site in the heart of Birmingham, and has viewed a number of premises in other cities. The companies are hoping to open sites in Manchester, Bristol, Hull and London amongst other cities.
Speaking about the partnership, Thornbridge Brewery CEO Simon Webster said: “We couldn’t be more excited to announce this partnership. Having worked with Pivovar for many years we know they are a fantastic company who share our core values.
Passion for pubs
“We have a real passion for pubs and want to introduce our beers to a wider market. This gives us the opportunity to work towards ensuring our beer is present in every corner of the country!”
Jamie Hawksworth, Owner of Pivovar added: “Over the last 12 years we have created award winning bars supported by our own drinks wholesale division, which delivers the supply chain within our estate.
“We are now thrilled to be joining forces with our friends at Thornbridge to roll out more amazing bars, offering access to their beer range alongside our existing drinks portfolio.”
