Tom Kerridge’s Pub in the Park goes on tour

Celebrity pub chef Tom Kerridge is taking his Pub in the Park festival on a nationwide tour across four weekends.

Pub in the Park will be returning to Higginson Park in Marlow, Buckinghamshire, where it was held last year, and taking place from 17-20 May 2018.

Following this, the festival will take place at the Royal Victoria Park in Bath from 8-10 June, then to Dunorlan Park in Tunbridge Wells, Kent, from 6-8 July.

It will then conclude at the Heath in Knutsford, Cheshire, from 7-9 September.

Michelin-starred pubs

On each weekend, Kerridge will be bringing his Michelin-starred pub teams from the Hand & Flowers and the Coach, both in Marlow, along with a selection of other top UK pubs and restaurants to serve their most popular dishes.

Every event will celebrate the best food the country has to offer, combined with live music, chef demonstrations, shopping and other festival activities.

The first Pub in the Park in Marlow last May sold out of all 18,000 tickets within 24 hours.

At the time Kerridge said: “Wow – what an incredible, amazing weekend! The vibe was fantastic, the food was stunning, the music outstanding, but above all else, the people of Marlow made the whole event feel very special."

Lovely town

He added: “It showed off our lovely town to all our visitors and the chefs from all over the country and did us proud.”

Meanwhile, earlier this year (October), it was revealed that Kerridge would not be opening a restaurant at the Jumeriah Carlton Tower in Knightsbridge, west London.

The chef was set to manage a renovated Rib Room Bar & Restaurant and operate it as a stand-alone venue this year.

However, Jumeriah owner Dubai Holdings appears to have changed its intentions for the restaurant and the renovation, which was due to accompany the relaunch under the celebrity chef, has not taken place.
