The mobile optimised online ordering platform launched by Ei Publican Partnerships in August 2017 has been used by 1,200 publicans to place close to 10,000 orders since its introduction.
The new platform is part of the Publican Channel suite of tools available to existing and prospective publicans. The suite provides access to business advice, training, printed point of sale, current deals, and, as of August, the ability to place orders online.

James Armitage, group services director at Ei Group, which has around 4,300 properties across England and Wales, said: “As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring our publicans have everything at their fingertips, in the format they want it, we have invested significantly to ensure the online-ordering platform is easy to navigate, but also has exclusive discounts on a wide range of popular products.
“Since launching the platform we have already seen a significant amount of sales and more publicans wanting to order online. We have also received high levels of engagement and positive feedback from our publicans around user experience, search functionality, mobile optimisation and the intuitive nature of the site.”
In addition to the online ordering platform, the Publican Channel offers a ‘publican dashboard’ which includes a range of tools designed to help publicans enhance their business. For example, the GP Surgery, a gross profit tool, helps users assess whether or not they’re getting the best return from their range, while also offering the ability to review agreement details, access print and design services for point-of-sale and promotional materials as well as view documents such as health and safety certificates and invoices.
