The dining room, bar and garden all have a fresh look and the pub has revitalised its menu to feature seasonally-inspired dishes as well as pub classics including pan-fried duck breast with red wine and cherry jus, and hand-carved Sunday roasts.
The 13th-century pub, one of the oldest buildings in Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, has many original features including Tudor timber beams once part of Wyllyotts Manor House, which the pub is named after.
Situated within walking distance of the station, the Old Manor is popular with commuters and theatregoers heading to the Wyllyotts Theatre, which is directly opposite the pub.

One of the 'best-performing sites'
The premises was taken over by the Redcomb group, which comprises 14 pubs, about 12 months ago and is now “one of the largest and best-performing sites within the estate”, the company said.
Redcomb Pubs managing director Dan Shotton said: “We’re delighted to reopen this local treasure of a pub, looking better than ever. Investing in the upkeep of our pub sites is a key pillar of our business plan and a key commitment to the local audience we strive to serve with our trademark top-notch hospitality.
"The refurbishment of the Old Manor adds to the extensive work that’s taken place across the entire estate over the past 12 months to ensure that, as a group, we continue to operate some of the most successful, relevant and best pubs in the country and remain a major independent player in the sector. We look forward to introducing the new-look Old Manor to the people of Potters Bar and being part of the future history of this iconic building.”
Redcomb has invested substantially in its pubs in 2017, including refurbs at the Station Hotel in Hither Green, south-east London, the relaunch of the Bickley in Chislehurst, Kent, as a pub and steakhouse, and the development of the Seagate in Appledore, Devon, to add seven en-suite bedrooms.
