New concept: pair of former The Restaurant Group (TRG) directors have launch new pub and restaurant venture
A pair of former The Restaurant Group (TRG) directors have launched a new pub and restaurant venture, which is set to open its debut site in the West Midlands later this summer.

David Salmon, formerly brand director and deputy managing director of Frankie & Benny’s; and Derek Mallon, former brand director and deputy managing director of Coast to Coast, Joe’s Kitchen and Filling Station, have set up Threedom Leisure.

The pair have teamed up with Martin Cave, former TRG senior area manager and regional operations manager at Boporan Restaurant Group, to initially launch the Cock & Bull, a new concept, which will open its first site in Stourbridge.

Cave has become operations director of the new venture.

Kick ass chicken

The company says that the Cock & Bull, which takes over former The Glasshouse site in the town’s High Street, will offer “liquor - filthy burgers - kick ass chicken”.

It is thought that Threedom is looking to launch a further concept before the end of the year.

The company said it was set up to help and grow a variety of concepts where “genuine, memorable hospitality is delivered by a motivated and developed team of people”.
