The Simon Potts-led group, which recently opened its tenth site in Chester, has acquired new sites in Nottingham (former Hard Rock Café on King Street), Bristol (Queen’s Road) and Cardiff (former NatWest Bank on St Mary Street), which will all open by the end of next April.
The company has two further openings in Media City and Oxford already lined up for later this year.
The Nottingham site will open in December 2017 following a £1.6m investment, extending over two floors and 6,500sq ft.
Opening in March 2018, the Cardiffsite is the first Welsh launch for The Alchemist, with a total investment of £1.6m across the 5,900sq ft unit.
The Alchemist will invest £1.3m on its Bristol site. Spanning over two floors, the 5,200sq ft site will open its doors to the public on April 2018.
Potts, managing director of The Alchemist, said: “We are delighted to announce the three new sites; Cardiff, Nottingham and Bristol are all fantastic cities and I believe we have secured amazing locations in each of them.
“The acquisitions will take us to 15 sites – which is a great achievement and testament to the hard work of the whole team. It’s a real joy to be able to announce positive plans for our continued growth at a time when there seems to be a lot of uncertainty in the sector. Our guests seem to be enjoying our unique offer and I’m confident that The Alchemist brand will be a positive addition to cities wherever it goes in the future.”
