Diners on TripAdvisor’s website can now order food from more than 20,000 of Deliveroo’s restaurant partners, spanning 12 countries and more than 140 cities.
This new feature allows pubs to utilise their TripAdvisor listing to engage with customers planning to dine out and those wanting to dine in.
Customers click the ‘order online’ button when browsing TripAdvisor’s listing of one of Deliveroo’s partners and they will be brought to Deliveroo’s online or mobile platforms to place their order.
The partnership expands TripAdvisor’s food delivery service in to 12 new countries including the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, the UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia.
Engaging with TripAdvisor community
TripAdvisor restaurants senior vice-president Bertrand Jelensperger outlined how collaborating with businesses like Deliveroo can benefit diners and operators.
He said: “Through partnerships with Deliveroo, we aim to give our listings a new way to engage with the TripAdvisor community, at home and on-the-go.
“TripAdvisor is already a highly effective marketing platform for restaurants and new services like food delivery create incremental value for businesses and consumers.
“Whether reading reviews, reserving a table or placing a food order, our goal is for TripAdvisor to serve as a one-stop shop for diners around the world.”
Deliveroo co-founder and CEO Will Shu lauded the partnership and said it would benefit its customers, all around the globe.
Global presence
He added: “We are always looking for new ways to bring great food to people’s doors.
“We’re excited to partner with TripAdvisor to make it even easier for our customers to order delicious food, wherever they are in the world.”
Venues such as Arc Inspirations’ Manahatta Greek Street in Leeds have also stepped in to the Deliveroo arena in order for customers to enjoy bartender-quality cocktails in the comfort of their own home – a first for the city.
