In a bid to show support to members of the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force, the troops will be able to eat for free.
To qualify for the complimentary meal, military personnel can claim their vouchers by downloading it through the Toby Carvery website and show it when they order a roast or alternative main meal on 24 June, along with military ID or a Defence Privilege Card.
For those military personnel who can’t attend, branches of Toby Carvery will be hosting a Veterans Breakfast Club until Friday 23 June, where former and current members of the Armed Forces can enjoy breakfast for just £1, when booked in advance.
Special offers
Meanwhile, Toby Carvery launched a Groupon deal offering a meal and a drink for two for under £15 last month (May).
Options included a £29.90 deal for a carvery meal with a drink for four; and £44.85 for a meal with a drink for six.
The offer on the discount site showed as almost a third (28%) off the carvery’s standard prices and Toby Carvery said Groupon was just one of a number of new channels it was exploring to bring even greater value to new guests.
Charity at heart
Mitchells & Butlers is not the only pubco to offer meal deals for those in a particular profession. Last year (May), Greene King offered free Sunday roasts for Macmillan nurses throughout the month.
Greene King marketing director Fiona Gunn said: “Macmillan nurses work tirelessly to support people with cancer, and their care makes such a difference in the local community.
“We’re proud to support Macmillan and want to reward them, so we hope they enjoy our offer of a delicious free roast every Sunday throughout May.”
