Frequency Beer Works has created a 5% ABV English bitter, and called it ‘F*** you, I’m Millwall’ after Larner’s heroics.
The 47-year old Millwall fan single-handedly took on three knife-wielding terrorists with his bare hands, giving others the chance to escape the attack.
'I was on my own'
Larner told The Sun newspaper he shouted: "F*** you, I’m Millwall," as he confronted the attackers.
“I stood in front of them trying to fight them off,” he said. “Everyone else ran to the back. I was on my own against all three of them, that’s why I got hurt so much.
“I got stabbed and sliced eight times. They got me in my head, chest and both hands. There was blood everywhere.”
The brewery is already distributing the beer locally, and are hoping to import it to the UK in the near future. All of the profits from its sale go towards Larner’s Just Giving page.
'Amazing bravery'
Co-owner of Frequency Beer Works David Mortimer said: “A friend of mine who is a Millwall fan in London sent me a link to an article about Roy and I thought it was an amazing story of his bravery.”
“I spoke to the other guys at the brewery and we thought we could stick some money into the Just Giving campaign but that it would be more fun to tell the world about it.
“It just feels like it’s one of those stories you want to tell people about because it’s amazing – and it’s also a great name for a beer. The reaction and feedback we’ve had has been so overwhelming.”
Staff at the Wheatsheaf in London Bridge were also praised after locking customers in the pub to protect them during the attack.
