NWTC has announced that acquisition manager Theo Fordham will now take the lead on new opportunities. Fordham will continue to work alongside Tim McCormac, property director for NWTC, as the group seeks to open six new sites per year. The 17th NWTC site opened in Reading this month with four more to come by the end of the year, including The Canal House in Birmingham and The Botanist in Media City, Manchester.
Loungers, the Nick Collins-led group, has announced a number of people moves as the business gears up for its next stage of growth, including new managing directors for its Lounge and Cosy Club concepts. Justin Carter moves from his existing role as chief operations officer into the newly created role of Lounge managing director. Jake Bishop has been appointed to the newly created role of group commercial director. Bishop, who co-founded Loungers in 2002, moves from his existing role as Cosy Club managing director and will be responsible for overseeing product and menu development, people and training, and operations support. Bishop is replaced as Cosy Club managing director by Amber Wood who has been promoted from her existing role as Lounge regional operations manager.
