Stonegate has reopened former JD Wetherspoon (JDW) site Tally Ho in Finchley, north London, after a £750,000 investment.

The site had been closed since 26 April for the refurbishment, and reopened on 30 May, with a VIP launch on 1 June attended by the deputy mayor of Barnet, Val Duschinsky.

A Stonegate spokesperson said the pubco had stripped back the entire site and refurbished carpets and furniture throughout the extensive three-storey venue.

Pub manager Paul Mulcrone said the renovation had brought the site in line with recent regeneration projects in Finchley.

The site is the last of the JDW estate acquired by Stonegate in September last year to reopen and will go into the managed pubco’s unbranded ‘Proper Pubs’ estate.
